• 20 years with the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra
• Graduate of Carleton College and completed his medical studies at the University of Illinois and the University of Rochester
• Associate medical director for St. Josephs Center for Senior Health
• Studied Tuba with Ross Tolbert of the Minnesota Orchestra, Randall Holmes of the U.S. Air Force Bands, and Chris Olka of the Seattle Symphony. He also credits Tony Clements of the San Jose Symphony and Carla Rutschman of Western Washington University for mentoring and support over the years
• Atendee and advisory board member of the Humboldt State University Brass Chamber Music Workshop
• Soloist with the Caleton College Concert Band and with the Whatcom Symphony Chamber Orchestra
